If you are in a lot of pain, you may need to turn to pain medication to find temporary relief. Acetaminophen is a better option for sore muscles, because other common painkillers, like ibuprofen, can hinder your body’s ability to produce prostaglandins, which help to heal your muscles.

#6. Massage your muscles.
